          Stone Type: Churchyard Cross
          Grid Reference: SX/9287/9286
          Location: On the grass, opposite the entrance to St Michael's Church, Newtown.
          Inscription: To the Glory of God and in Grateful Memory of the Men of this Parish who gave their Lives for their Country in the Great War 1914 - 1918.
          Notes:  The cross serves as a memorial to World War I.

 Grid Reference: SX/9325/9317
 Location: Cut into the kerbstone on the junction of Polsloe Road with Clifton Hill.
 Inscription: MH / 15FT (Man Hole / 15 Feet)
 Notes: I'm not sure whether the 'MH' represents 'Man Hole' or 'Mains Hydrant' but the latest thinking is that it applies to the former.
